Semesters by World Race is a short-term missions program built for a single season, spring, summer, or fall, ranging from 1 to 4 months. They're mission trips for young adults to serve others and share the hope of Jesus while going deeper in their own relationship with God.
You'll spend your season working with strategic ministry partners around the world, serving and learning alongside experienced leaders who are meeting the tangible needs of their communities and spreading the Gospel.
You won't do it alone. You'll go with a team, a community that chose the same beautiful yes you did. You'll grow in intimacy with Jesus, build friendships that last, and learn to disciple others in the middle of real ministry.
You'll come home with more of God, deeper community, and a new confidence to live on mission wherever He calls you next.

Before anything else, Semesters is about knowing God. You'll grow in intimacy with Jesus through worship, prayer, and the Word, learning to hear His voice and follow Him in the everyday. This is the foundation everything else is built on.
You'll do this season with a team, a community that chose the same yes you did. You'll live, serve, laugh, and wrestle together, forming relationships that are honest and safe, and learning to disciple and be discipled along the way.
You'll serve alongside long-term missionaries and local partners already meeting real needs, through children's ministry, sports programs, community development, evangelism, and more. You'll be the hands and feet of Jesus to a world that's desperate for His love.

Semesters by World Race is a short-term missions program from Adventures in Missions. Instead of a full gap year, you go on mission for a single season, spring, summer, or fall, serving alongside long-term missionaries in multiple countries.
It depends on the route. Spring semesters run about 4 months (January to May). Summer routes range from 1 to 2 months. Each route lists its exact dates and length.
All Semesters routes are open to ages 18 to 30.
Every route has its own cost based on the countries and the length of the trip. Your admissions advisor will walk you through the exact amount for your route and a proven, relationship-based fundraising process.
Ministry varies by route but usually includes children's ministry, sports programs, community outreach and development, evangelism, and discipleship. You'll serve and learn alongside experienced leaders and strategic ministry partners who are meeting the tangible needs of their communities.
Yes, for international routes. US passport issuing services are significantly delayed, so apply for yours early. If you aren't issued a passport by the time we purchase your flight (around June 1st for fall trips and around December 1st for spring trips), you'll need to choose a domestic option or defer to a later trip.
